Saturday Speaker: WSWMD "Where is Away?"

Where Is Away?: A presentation on where our stuff goes when it isn't wanted anymore. Trash, recycling, and food scraps all have different destinations in the world of waste, and how they are handled differs depending on the material. Perhaps more interesting is that how these items are handled state to state, town to town, also differs and sometimes drastically. WSWMD's Outreach Coordinator Alex Lacy would like to share what she knows about what happens with trash/recycling/food scraps that leave Marlboro, VT and join in a discussion with folks who have questions about the various systems. The more we understand the systems that our communities are a part of the better we can participate in them with confidence.
