Marlboro Volunteer Fire Company Meet and Greet

Come to the Marlboro Community Center on March 16th from 10 to noon, and meet some of your firefighters, medical personnel, and board members of the Marlboro Volunteer Fire Company. We’ll be there with the Big Yellow Truck (kids, both young and adult, can get a tour of the truck). We’ll answer any questions you have about becoming a first responder and questions about preventing fires and medical emergencies in your home---Why do we do what we do? How do we manage to wake up at 3 am for an emergency across town? What’s the most rewarding thing about the ‘job’? What training is involved? When should you call 911?

We’re actively recruiting firefighters and medical personnel (no prior training necessary; we’ll pay for your training), as well as board members and those who can help out with occasional odd jobs at the firehouse. Your help is always needed and welcome.

Bonus: If things go according to plan, we will be giving out Solar Eclipse glasses provided by the VT League of Cities & Towns.  Rumors are there will also be some tasty treats.
