About the event
Come fix, tinker, and explore!
Do you have a computer that broke that you think you could fix if you had some support? Do you have clothing that needs patching, but need some tips or materials? Do you just want to take something apart and learn how it works?
Come hang out with Nadya and Fenn! Nadya used to build surgical robots, and has also led robotics classes, and Fenn is a science teacher who loves all sewing and fiber arts. We both love trying to fix everything – we can’t always get it to work, but we’ve found that we learn a lot by trying!
We’ll have some electronics to explore through taking apart, a sewing machine, some fabric and other sewing supplies, and electronics repair supplies.
All ages welcome.
Contact Fenn at fennwszal@gmail.com if you want to donate something that you think could be fixed – especially if it’s a laptop from the last 10 years! If it gets fixed, we’ll work to get it to someone who could use it. If it doesn’t seem fixable, we’ll get it to e-waste.
